Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how EOEM Hub collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use our website and services.
The Hub provides OEM partners, distributors, and authorised users with access to technical documentation, product manuals, and related resources across our supported brands. We are committed to handling personal information responsibly and transparently, in line with applicable privacy laws in the jurisdictions where the Hub is used.
This policy applies to all visitors and registered users of the Hub, and covers the information we collect when you create an account, browse or download content, contact us for support, or otherwise interact with our services. It also outlines your rights regarding your personal information and how you can exercise them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements, and we encourage you to review it periodically.
EOEM Hub is operated by AuCom Electronics Ltd. In this Privacy Policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to AuCom Electronics Ltd.
Information we collect
When you request or use an account, contact us, or submit a request through the Hub, we may collect your name, business email address, company or organisation, job title or role, country or region, account and authentication information, the Hub content you are authorised to access, and any information you include in a support or access request.
When you use the Hub, we may also collect technical and usage information such as your IP address, browser and device information, login activity, pages or resources viewed, referring page, approximate access times, cookie preferences, and information used to detect or investigate security issues.
Information marked as required is needed to process your request or provide access to the Hub. If you do not provide it, we may be unable to create or manage your account.
How we use personal information
We use personal information to assess account requests, create and manage accounts, provide access to the appropriate Hub content, respond to support or resource requests, communicate about the operation or security of the Hub, maintain and improve the Hub, understand how it is used, prevent unauthorised access or misuse, keep appropriate business and security records, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information or use EOEM Hub information for interest-based advertising.
Legal grounds for processing
Where European Union or United Kingdom data protection law applies, we generally process personal information because it is necessary to provide and administer the Hub, for our legitimate interests in managing access, supporting users, and protecting the Hub, to comply with legal obligations, or with your consent where consent is required, including for certain non-essential cookies.
Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
Who we disclose information to
We use service providers that help us operate, maintain, secure, and support the Hub. EOEM Hub is built on HubSpot, which processes personal information on our behalf as our website, membership, analytics, and customer relationship management platform provider.
We may also disclose information to individuals within the AuCom group that assist with operating or supporting the Hub, to professional advisers where reasonably necessary, or where disclosure is required by law or needed to protect the security of the Hub.
We do not disclose your personal information to other EOEM Hub users as part of the normal operation of the Hub.
International processing
AuCom is based in New Zealand, and some of our service providers operate in other countries. Personal information may therefore be stored or processed in New Zealand and other locations. Where required, we use contractual or other recognised safeguards intended to protect personal information transferred internationally.
Cookies
The Hub uses necessary cookies and similar technologies to support login, security, account functionality, and user preferences. With your permission where required, we may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Hub is used and improve its operation.
You can manage non-essential cookies through the cookie settings tool on the website. You may also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent login or other parts of the Hub from working correctly.
How long we keep information
We generally retain account information while an account remains active or while access is reasonably required. We may retain limited information after access ends where necessary for security, record keeping, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. Information that is no longer required will be deleted or anonymised in line with our retention processes.
Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. Access is restricted to authorised personnel and service providers who need it for their work.
No website or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please contact help@eoemhub.com promptly if you believe your account or personal information may have been compromised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to or correction of your personal information, ask for deletion or restriction of certain processing, object to certain uses, withdraw consent, request a portable copy of certain information, or complain to an applicable privacy or data protection authority. These rights may be subject to legal conditions and exceptions.
To make a request, contact help@eoemhub.com. We may need to confirm your identity before completing the request. New Zealand users may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner. European Union or United Kingdom users may contact the data protection authority responsible for their location.
Children
EOEM Hub is a business resource intended for authorised personnel of customer organisations. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Hub, our practices, or applicable requirements. The current version will be published on this page with the date it was last updated. Where a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide additional notice where reasonably required.
